Art exhibition
“It is with great pride and pleasure that the Dr. António Agostinho Neto Memorial (MAAN) will perform this Friday, May 4, 2018, in its Gallery of Exhibitions, at 6:30 p.m., the inauguration of the collective exhibition of the 7th Edition of the platform of experimental photography ‘VIDRUL PHOTOGRAPHY’, with a showcase of works by the 4 Angolan Photographers: ALBANO CARDOSO, CÉUS, SEBASTIÃO VEMBA and TOTY SA’MED, so we invite your information body to be present for the full coverage.”
“This is a collaboration with AM-ARTE Producer. As Producer and Curator Dominick Tanner says: “In 2018, here we have come to the 7th Edition of ‘Vrrul Fotografia’. The proposals of 4 Angolan photographers were chosen from among dozens of candidates, a reason for the pride of this platform. But equally deserving of a huge degree of responsibility for Angola’s photography to flourish and become a reference not only in Africa, but throughout the world. As they rule, there are 4 Angolan photographers who have never participated before. 4 seemingly very different proposals in technique and even in narrative, but which surely reveal a visual memory that portrays, reconfigures and recontextualizes the social action of each one ‘s gaze. In this sense, the four photographers are social actors who, among other things, instrumentalize the gaze by cutting aesthetic realities into a field of particular perception made public. In these four exhibitions photography and memory become more and more united, weaving new identities, in a constant documentation, affirmation and celebration of ‘Angolanity”
The exhibition will be open until May 30, 2018 at the MAAN.

Luanda bridge Club
LIKE CARDS? WANT TO LEARN? EXPERIENCED PLAYER?
The call is out among the expatriate and broader community in Luanda that there is an effort to form a bridge club.
One of the beauties of bridge is that if you have any experience with card games, you can learn in an evening the basics of the game such that you can play and have fun, but then like any challenging game you can spend the rest of your life learning more and improving.
All are welcome, from beginners to experienced players, as well as those willing to teach and coach others, so we can start to play and form the foundation for a club. If the notion of learning ever crossed your mind, now is the time!
