What’s on in November and December!

What’s Happening in November:

Weekly coffee get-togethers continue in the City (2:00 pm – 3:30 pm) at Miami Beach Restaurant on the Ilha

Talatona For the time being the meetings in Talatona will not be taking place as due to a shortage of Committee Members in Talatona we cannot guarantee that a LBW member will be there to welcome you.  If any member is interested in helping us to restart these coffee meetings please contact the Committee

Children welcome.

Along with regular weekly coffee meetings in the City, there is plenty to keep you occupied during November.

Tuesday November 8th 11.30am – Book Club – The book is the Perfect Son by Barbara Claypole White and the meeting will take place at Ann Currie’s flat on the Ilha.  Contact Ann to let her know if you can make it.

Thursday November 17th 12.30pm – Monthly Lunch at Zen-It Esplanada Lounge,Talatona Come and join us for lunch at this lovely restaurant in Talatona.  Just let us know if you can make it by Friday 11th November so we can book the table (lbwangola@gmail.com)!

What to look forward to in December!

Friday December 2nd 5.30pm onwards – Pub Grub @Club Navale – Just turn up at Club Navale (right at the start of the Ilha), any time from 5.30pm to enjoy a drink with other members and maybe stay for supper afterwards – lots of us do.   A very good way to miss the Friday night traffic.  Bring the children if you’d like to.  No need to book.  We’ll have done that for you.

Sunday 4th December 5pm-7pm- Christmas Carols for all the Family at the British Embassy (members only) – One of our most popular events is the annual Christmas Carols at the Embassy.  We will be organising it again this year exclusively for LBW members.  Tickets are 2,000 Akz for adults and 1,000Akz for children over 5.  Ticket prices will include wine and snacks including the all important Christmas gingerbread!  We will also be organising a tombola with a variety of fun prizes for kids and adults!  If you are interested in attending please let us know asap as places are limited (lbwangola@gmail.com)!
