
Since 1987 Black History Month has been celebrated every October in the United Kingdom. The event is formally recognised by the Government and highlights the contributions Africa and African peoples make to the economic, social and political landscape of London and the wider UK.
Coinciding with Black History Month, an Angola Art Consultant, Dominick A Maia-Tanner is heading to an African Art Fair in London with four noted Angolan artists from October 15-18th. The exhibition titled ‘1:54’ references the fifty-four countries that constitute the African continent.The four artists, born in Angola have varying experience from a Masters degree to being educated in the ‘school of life’.
