We had a lovely time over cakes and scones at our monthly coffee morning, catching up before so many of us all leave in the next week or so.
Many of our members brought cartons of milk to donate to the Kambamba School Project this morning. Marjan Okhravi, the founder of Kambamba School in Talatona came to talk to us. LBW recently donated money for milk, bread and butter for the students who usually have only one meal a day. Marjan told us all about how the school started and about how she raises money for the lessons and food they provide each week. If you’re interested in helping or donating and would like more information, go to her Facebook page.
LIS is holding an arts and crafts sale on Friday, 29th May from 6pm. Marjan will be selling glassware, similar to these that the Project has made in the past, to raise money for the Kamamba School.
Come and have a look at what they’ve made as well as lots of jewelry, art and handmade gift made by many other local artists.
Good job everyone! 😘🌺
